Though Rayvin Black had a good record here over hurdles, he was well beaten over track and trip in between wins at Ludlow and Wincanton. Stynes hasn’t run since June last year and is unproven over the trip but Geordie Des Champs stays much further, as he’s shown lately at Taunton and Hereford. WAR SOUND has proved frustrating to follow but he’s probably just been unlucky to come up against some progressive novices. The winner has franked the form of his latest second at Uttoxeter and a first victory over fences is overdue. Silverhow has a decent record on the track so may have each-way claims but most of the others looks as though they’ve had enough for the season.
