In depth

Verdict

MAWSEM is difficult to oppose and his starting price is likely to reflect the fact. He's finished runner-up at Wincanton and Newton Abbot this year and a repeat of either of those efforts would be good enough to land this. Final Flyer looks the obvious second choice judged on his best placed efforts including a recent third at Wetherby, but the remainder with hurdling experience all have plenty to find. The exceptions are Leroy Lately, fourth in a point-to-point a week ago and Cosmic, who won between the flags last month.
