Ainsi Fideles, a winning hurdler in France, started favourite on his debut for David Pipe in a Listed race at Wetherby but weakened from three out. He'll know more here and takes a big drop in class. HAWK HIGH, a progressive stayer on the Flat, was well supported on his hurdling bow at Aintree and looked a smart prospect in beating Halling's Wish by nine lengths. That may be good enough for him to complete the double. The lightly-raced Nautical Twilight caught the eye with a promising staying-on fourth on this track last month and will improve while Magic Skyline showed potential on the Flat and Brian Ellison should have her spot-on after a reasonable hurdling debut at Leicester.
