Verdict

Paul Townend and Davy Russell are still battling for the championship and Willie Mullins is providing the former with plenty of ammunition including MAID FROM MILAN here. An impressive winner of a Downpatrick bumper and a Tramore maiden hurdle, she hasn't been out for over a year but clearly goes well fresh and could well be a future star. Run For Sol won a couple of times in France and looked ready to gain her first success for Charles Byrnes when an excellent second to Quiet Thought at Limerick. She looks the only real threat to the selection with Mcswynes Bay, who has disappointed over fences, the likely alternative.
