Verdict

Ashgrove Nell was sent to Ayr for a handicap last week and though only third of five she ran well enough to be considered for this. MUSIC ON D WATERS likes a bit of cut in the ground as she had when a short-head behind Whatever It Takes over this trip at Tipperary. She was further behind that winner on quicker going here next time and provided conditions are in her favour she can take this. The Drunken Dr ran better than expected when fourth in a tough Galway handicap and a similar level of performance will see him in the hunt here. Dearest has produced one very good run, on fast ground at Wexford, so she may need firmer going before losing her maiden tag.
