Rebel Laker didn't seem to last out over 2m2f at Downpatrick after a much better run over this trip at Clonmel. Elishpour, a winner on the Flat in France, had looked a certain future winner when a good third to Indian Icon at Killarney but disappointed at Ballinrobe last time. If Not For You has a penalty for his bumper victory and may find this on the short side as he won a point-to-point in May. ISLAND VILLA ran a fine race when runner-up to Steel King at Ballinrobe and though subsequently disappointing in a handicap it's about time he was winning a race such as this and gets the vote.
