      Verdict

      OBE GOLD is taken to land this race at the expense of Whatyouwoodwishfor and Verinco. The selection made a mess of the start last time out but he is a consistent enough character at lowly levels and appears to have regained the confidence that may have led to him wearing headgear for a couple of runs last term. Whatyouwoodwishfor has a significantly lower mark on an artificial surface versus that on the turf. Richard Fahey¿s runners in this grade cannot be dismissed though a lamentable effort at Wolverhampton rather dulls enthusiasm. Verinco had shaped with credit in a maiden over course and distance but failed to stay seven furlongs next time out. Rosie Says No was bitterly disappointing in a very poor claimer earlier in the week and the headgear is reached for in desperation. Spoof Master almost got home under positive tactics at Lingfield on Saturday and there is every reason to believe he'll be tried under the same today. Obe Gold is not bombproof as selections go but he has more positives than most.
