In depth

Verdict

SAFEBREAKER looks capable of confirming form with Nautical from their running here last month and can defy 7lb worse terms to get back in front. The selection gave Nautical 2lbs and a five-length beating that day and was just touched off at Kempton last time. He will probably be better for the return to this surface and although he has gone up another 3lbs for that defeat he does not look to have finished his upward curve. Nautical is entitled to close the gap of course and he was back to form with a win at Wolverhampton last time but the younger horse is preferred. King Of Legend goes well at Wolverhampton and is untried here. If he takes to the slower surface then he has frame claims, though ideally he would want further. Provost has enough form to get involved here and a market check is advised given that he represents the in-form Mick Easterby yard, while Haroldini looks in need of a further favour from the assessor, though we prefer the claims of Safebreaker.
