Verdict

Dewala began his winning run off a mark of 58 over a mile here and followed up over 1m3f three days later. She defied a massive 14lb rise to complete a hat-trick on Thursday so today's penalty may not prove too much of a burden. However, this is a tougher event and DISCAY is expected to follow up his opening success over subsequent winner Goldmadchen over the course and distance. Mark Johnston's charge had shown very little last season but looked a different proposition on his opening run as a four-year-old, battling on strongly and suggesting there is more to come. Stanley Rigby, who finished third, wasn't far behind Dewala on Thursday and looks held but Jacobs Son looks a big threat. Robert Mills' charge has been going very well at Lingfield and though he's only run twice here he's perfomed well and should get into the mix.
