        Verdict

        Monda, Mind Alert and Doughty are the three to consider here with Monda given the nod to make up for some recent near misses. Doughty is still a maiden in 23 starts but has shown improved form on his last two starts, finishing placed on both occasions, not beaten far in fair races. He can go well at a nice price. Mind Alert has been placed in his last six starts but seems to lack a finishing kick. He is thoroughly consistent but the smart money would be against him taking this. Monda is less exposed than his rivals and judged on his short head second here over the course and distance two outings ago, he will take all the beating here. he ran a sound race in defeat at Wolverhampton last time, and a similar effort should see Monda collect here.
