In depth

Verdict

Albertus Pictor, a winner on the Flat in 2010, appears to be improving over hurdles judged on his recent fourth at Hereford while point-to-point winner Balinroab should have learned plenty from his C&D sixth last month. But they may struggle to give weight to the four-year-old SHALLOON, who was a decent sort on the level for Mark Johnston last year and made a promising start to his NH career when beaten just over six lengths behind Fire Fighter at Warwick. French import Prima Porta looks the pick of Evan Williams' trio and worth noting should she attract market support.
