Verdict

A wide-open handicap can go to Cloud Dancer ahead of a host of dangers including the likes of Canterloupe, Cashel Mead, Paddywack, Blakeset and Hurricane Coast. Cloud Dancer gained her first victory for well over a year when landing a claimer over seven furlongs here a week ago. She travelled well and was good value for the neck victory over Nimello, and should have no problems dropping back in trip, having scored twice over six furlongs on turf in the past, notably at Newmarket. Canterloupe has topweight to overcome but took to the fibresand straight away when successful in a similar race to this last month. She is still not badly treated compared to her turf rating and has place claims at least. Cashel Mead finished a close second at Wolverhampton despite missing the break, but will need the gaps to appear if she is to take a hand. Our old friend Paddywack is always going to be dangerous at this level and showed that he can win on the sand when finishing well to score at Wolverhampton, while Blakeset and Hurricane Coast have decent racing weights and should not be ruled out of calculations. In a hard one to call, Cloud Dancer gets the vote.
