In depth

Verdict

David Pipe has had some success on the level this winter and his SARAH'S BOY found the fibre sand exactly to his liking last time when coming well clear of the field and he should be able to follow up under a penalty with Swords and Tyrana among the principle dangers. Gambled as if he couldn't lose the pick duly obliged on his Fibresand debut when chalking up a six length victory last week. Had he been carrying the penalty he has on his back now that day he still would have gone in and he is open to plenty more improvement. Swords is proven to go well fresh and returning from a decent break should be at his best. In fact his course and distance win in November was after an absence and his mark remains fair. Tyrana was a little unlucky not to follow up a win at Kempton with victory over course and distance last time. She's up a couple of pounds for that run she should still be able to run her race under her revised burden. Dan Buoy has had a career littered with inconsistent performances but has run well in this sphere the last twice. He's temperament raised its ugly head over timber last time so he's just overlooked here. This is a low grade affair but Sarah's Boy looks ahead of the game now finding his feet on Fibresand.
