SHINING CROSS left last year's forgettable form behind when third on his Fibresand debut and first start for Jo Hughes. There should be more to come from him on this surface and he can open his account on favourable terms with the rest of the field including Mother Jones. The latter finished last on her only previous start at the track while Coastal Passage handles Fibresand well enough but made a mess of an easier chance at Wolverhampton last month. Masked Dance has plummeted down the weights since last May's win at Ascot and looks no nearer to regaining former glories and the remainder are even harder to fancy.
