Verdict

GAYANULA is unpenalised for landing an apprentice handicap over 1m 4f here last week and she can follow up, while Fortunella looks the best of the rest. The Julie Camacho-trained selection travelled well that day and was in control from over two furlongs out, so this drop back in trip looks unlikely to make any difference. Conditions here clearly suit and with no penalty from the assessor she looks an attractive proposition. Fortunella is 5lb higher than when also scoring here over 1m 4f last month, but today's mark found her out when tried over this trip here last time. There were no excuses that day and on balance it looks like she may come up just short again. All In The Red is a very interesting contender. Brendan Pollock's gelding showed improved form when stepped up to a mile and then 10f on his last two outings. Today he tackles 11f for the first time and being related to out and out stayer Jardines Lookout it is probably fair to assume that we will again see more improvement, so he could be a serious danger. Ice Bellini is slipping back to a competitive mark and she does act well here, so she is much respected. The other pair don't inspire at present and we'll take Gayanula to win again.
