Verdict

Mozadaya, Majuro and NIGHTJAR look the three to concentrate on here and we'll take the last named to win what is a good contest. Mark Johnston's colt has a couple of course and distance wins to his name and this looks his optimum trip. The long, galloping straight here probably suits his style of running more than Wolverhampton, where he was beaten last time out and from the same mark he can probably show us more here and win again. Francis Norton rides the selection and he will know where he stands as far as major rival Mozadaya is concerned, having ridden the admirable mare to all five of her recent wins from her last six runs, and perhaps significantly he did not get the leg up when she was beaten. She has to shoulder another 6lb penalty here and that might just be too much. Majuro is now 12lbs higher than when winning here over a mile in September and ran well on his return on New Year's Day. He has definite frame claims here. Internationaldebut is high enough in the weights and has to prove himself on the Fibresand and the same can be said of Mister New York and we will side with Nightjar to fly home.
