Not many of these have solid claims on form and a chance is taken on the fitness of Im Ova Ere Dad, who is taken to make a winning return and score at the main expense of Mountain Pass and Quiet Reading. The last mentioned, like the selection, has been off the track for some time but Martin Bosley's gelding has a good record here and has slipped back to a fair mark so cannot be discounted. Arabie has refused to race in three of his last four races so may be best watched, while Scottish River has dropped to decent mark but is hard to recommend on recent form. Gem Bien is a consistent performer and should be thereabouts again but may have to settle for a minor role once more. Mountain Pass has gone well on the Polytrack of late but it remains to be seen whether he can reproduce a similar level of form on the Fibresand and a better bet may prove to be Im Ova Ere Dad, who still looks well treated judged by his July success here over Band and he gets the vote in the hope that he is fit enough after an absence.
