Verdict

Acker Bilk remains in decent form but was beaten by EPITAPH over track and trip in January. The latter has gone close again since then and Mick Appleby’s charge is taken to confirm running on today’s better terms. The Lock Master will find this tougher than the seller he won here recently while Busy Street returns from a lay-off but has gone close off similar marks at the track in the past having earlier won a maiden race here.
