Verdict

KING OF THE BEERS hinted at a return to form last week and he can regain the winning thread at the main expense of Crimson Mitre, Three Strings and Almahaza. Trainer Ron Harris is in good form at present and King Of The Beers was a decent third here last Tuesday night when he chased home Credential. He was doing his best work at the finish that day so the slightly longer trip should suit and he could provide the value in the race. Crimson Mitre wasn't beaten far over 1m6f here earlier in the month when his chance wasn't helped by the fact that he was squeezed for room at a vital stage in the contest. The drop in trip will not inconvenience him and he can go well. Three Strings has got course and distance form but this is his first run since April so he may be sharper for the run. Almahaza looks opposable over this longer trip, and we will stick with King Of The Beers who can build on his encouraging run here last week.
