Verdict

A tough maiden to call but we are prepared to side with TEJIME over Bandstand and Poet's place. John Gosden's 3-year-old ran well on his debut at Wolverhampton and although he was a beaten favourite at the same venue last time, he looks to have been found a good opportunity to open his account here. If there any chinks in the armour of our selection then the newcomer Poet's Place could be the one to exploit them. He catches the on breeding and he won't need to be anything out of the ordinary to get competitive. Similar comments would apply to the Bryan Smart-trained newcomer Bandstand, especially as the yard have been amongst the winners in the last few weeks. Freya's Flight did not show much in two outings on the turf and she is returning from a break here so is probably best watched. We will therefore stick with Tejime as the one to beat.
