Verdict

Harwoods Star is back on the same mark as when winning last year’s renewal with Coiste Bodhar and Monsieur Jimmy both well beaten. The latter was beaten a length by VIVA VERGLAS here earlier this month and Daniel Loughnane’s charge went on to land a course and distance double with Fortinbrass back in third. A further 4lb rise is negated by an apprentice’s allowance and the hat-trick beckons. Fortinbrass won over track and trip in January with subsequent 5f winner Treaty Of Rome back in fourth while Captain Bob has gone close at Wolverhampton recently and debuts on the Fibresand.
