In depth

Verdict

Alan King has done well with his select number of summer jumpers and some, such as No Substitute and URIAH HEEP have scored with any amount in hand. The latter was always controlling matters here last time and he's well fancied to go in again despite a 9lb rise in his rating with Richard Johnson retaining the ride. Don Padeja also obliged over course and distance last time and should also remain competitive despite his own 9lb hike. Only a four-year-old, he should have plenty more to come and rates a potent threat. Dovils Date has been in good heart of late and should go well under his young rider who has impressed on a couple of occasions recently, whilst Broughtons Warrior only won a maiden hurdle last time but did so in good fashion, looks on the upgrade and is respected on this handicap bow.
