In depth

Verdict

SPADER ran much better here last month following a short break. The four-year-old, a winner over 1m2f on the Flat in Ireland for Ger Lyons, is probably the type to go on to better things now he has a springboard. Whispering Storm won at Musselburgh in February but never seems to run two races alike and was pulled up after weakening rapidly at Fakenham last time in a race in which Walsingham Grange was a well-beaten fifth. Good Tradition has plenty of weight but Elysian Prince could have each-way claims as he’s won a decent handicap on the all-weather since last seen over timber.
