In depth

Verdict

Royale Knight was third in a Grade 3 at Warwick before finishing in mid-division in the Eider at Newcastle. This is easier while Bally Sands, near the foot of the weights, has limitless stamina. Talkonthestreet has been a bit disappointing so far but this marathon trip could be the making of him and Stormhoek has won here over a shorter trip. SAIL AND RETURN has never won over fences but has scored twice over 3m3f here over hurdles and is nicely treated on those efforts. He will have needed his run at Doncaster last time and today's quicker surface is very much in his favour. Musical wedge looks the pick of the remainder ahead of Allerton and dubious stayer Lough Coi.
