Verdict

A wide open contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be High Gear Amicelli and Jockser and the tentative nomination is given to High Gear. The selection was a fair second behind Complete Outsider last time out, the step up in trip looks sure to suit and off what looks a leanient mark he will be hard to beat. Amicelli rates the main danger on his latest second behind Taranis but that was in a chase and he returns to hurdling off what looks a high enough mark. Jockser won well last time out when beating It's Wallace Jnr and with the step up in trip likely to bring about more improvement he could go well at a price. Rosarian was a fair second behind Enhancer last time and is another with place claims but consistency is not his strong point. Of the remainder Lady of Scarvagh also won well last time out and if she does no bounce she is another with place claims but in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to High Gear.
