In depth

Verdict

French import Diamant Bleu was highly tried on his UK debut at Sandown and should find this easier, though is conceding plenty of weight. Dan Mcgrue scored over course and distance at his third attempt and Bryony Frost’s claim will help with the penalty but this could be a good opportunity for NOTRE AMI, who has run well in all four starts over timber and handled soft ground well enough last time at Fontwell. Cotswold Way had just one run in a bumper and was staying on so should enjoy this much longer trip.
