In depth

Verdict

ROCKITEER is our recommendation though Pertinent and Mad Moose will have their supporters. The selection ran a very competent race at Huntingdon and while it will be a tough ask to concede a winners penalty all around; there was enough there to suggest that he does have a future at the game. Pertinent does not appear the heartiest of battlers when push comes to shove. It is hoped that better ground might just bring about the better form that his bumpers promised. Mad Moose represents a yard back among the winners. He has not lived up to his decent pedigree and his latest run at this course was disastarous. Schindlers Son won a Uttoxeter handicap last May but has clearly had training troubles of late. Rockiteer arrives here with fewest negatives and secures the nomination.
