Verdict

The Andrew Reid-trained Vendors Mistake comes a fair distance for this modest prize and is selected in preference to Shanghai Surprise and Icenaslice, who make a fair amount of appeal to be dangerous at this level. Lavish Times also has to be considered as one that could pop up in a contest of this nature and a cautious eye should be cast over the betting market for signs of support for Alan Berry's charge. However, Vendors Mistake has been failing to get home over an extra furlong in her last couple of starts and has created the impression that she is worth a try back at the minimum distance. The Danehill filly is versatile regarding her best ground and a bold bid from the front looks her best bet in this company today. Shanghai Surprise is only moderate but could be good value for the forecast here.
