Verdict

A poor event to set before racegoers on a Saturday afternoon but something has to win and if GEANIE MAC performs like she did when runner-up in a Folkestone handicap last week then she should have no problems going one better. Scarlet Prince ran his best race over 1m2f at Beverley on his penultimate start while Hulwa looks as though she needs a marathon trip after finishing third at Beverley on Tuesday when No Time To Cry and Little Red Minx were behind. It was a surprise to see Baileys Over Ice back over a mile last time as she'd been staying on when stepping-up to 1m2f at Beverley previously so she could provide the main threat.
