Verdict

Tombellini came good at Newcastle on Wednesday and a 6lb penalty isn't too much of a hardship but MRS E, who finished fifth but did best of those on the wrong side of the track, looks the one to be on today as that was only her fourth start and she was making her handicap debut. Beckermet's last victory was in a Listed contest in 2007 when rated 109. He's had 45 starts since then, many of them in pattern races, and came close to grabbing an elusive victory at Newcastle last month when just touched off by Arch Walker. He looks certain to go close while Fortunate Bid is in cracking form and has only been raised 2lb for scoring at Brighton.
