Verdict

Kieren Fallon's recruitment at Godolphin may have been a shock to some people but a victory for FAMOUS KID in this maiden would be anything but. Fourth on debut in the Wood Ditton Stakes at Newmarket, tonight's assignment represents something of a drop in class. Charlie Hills probably entertained similar thoughts regarding the likelihood of this being a soft contest and he will be represented by Three Peaks. The colt hasn't always looked the most straightforward but he does have the benefit of racecourse experience to fall back on. Spiritorio is a half-brother to a 1m4f winner that was trained by Mark Johnston so the trainer will be hopeful and Park Place was placed in a Listowel maiden for Dermot Weld, but will be of considerably more interest once sent handicapping.
