Verdict

Just as difficult to solve as the first division of this handicap, with this time all but one of them having already won over this minimum trip, and this time HIGHLAND WARRIOR finds favour, with Select Committee perhaps next best. The latter goes on any ground, but tends to be best when it is quicker than today. He has a very good draw near the stands rail, which will help him in his bid to defy a lifetime high mark and score. Incomparable is 5lbs higher than his best win, but also has a good pitch here and is far from out of this, despite also wanting quicker ground ideally. Tournedos would eat this lot for breakfast if at his Listed winning best, but those days are long gone and he remains best watched for now. Sands Crooner would want quicker ground to be seen to best effect, but he has slipped to a very handy mark now, and he may well get involved at the business end of proceedings. Medici Time should go well on the ground and put up a good performance here first time out last season, so support would be interesting, though preference is for Highland Warrior. Paul Midgley's gelding dotted up at Musselburgh last time, and a 6lb rise does not look likely to stop him following up, the conditions again to his liking.
