        Verdict

        Lackaday had been running well on the all-weather before taking advantage of a lower Turf mark to gain a comfortable victory at Catterick. He's gone up 7lb but has won from a higher mark. Pomme De Terre landed a Redcar maiden on very fast ground before a fine run in a similar class handicap to this at Ayr in September. FINAL VENTURE (NAP) made a successful debut at Newcastle a year ago then continued to run well in handicaps. He will have come on a bundle for his reappearance on heavy going at Redcar and looks the one to be on. Fujin has had ten races on the all-weather since December, winning twice and runner-up four times so he's likely to be thereabouts as he reverts to Turf. Tango Sky has run poorly over 7f on his last two starts but this is his trip and his last victory came on soft going.
