Verdict

A minimum stakes race for us this one, with so little experience to go on, but we'll suggest that FENELLA ROSE can take advantage here of a high draw to win second time out, while Parbold Hill and one of the six debutantes, Burnt Cream, should also enter calculations. Second on debut last week, Fenella Rose is bred for speed and there've been plenty of two year old winners among her relatives. David Barron's string are in fine form, so Parbold Hill wouldn't be without a chance, and is also helped with a high draw. She'll find this less testing than Pontefract when tiring towards the end to finish fifth. Burnt Cream is one of the more interesting looking newcomers; a ¿60,000 recent purchase, Brian Smart's being banging out the winners, although a low draw is a negative. As ever with this sort of race, any market support should be noted, but we'll side with Stuart Williams' Fenella Rose.
