Verdict

SEMEEN faded in the closing stages of his reappearance at Ascot. He won three times last season and Luca Cumani's charge may not have finished improving yet. He makes more appeal than the more exposed Arizona John, beaten only a nose in a lower grade at Pontefract last time, while War Poet's recent third came in an amateur's race at York. Deepsand and Tepmokea were both placed in soft ground last time and Dolphin Village is on a fair mark if returning to form.
