In depth

Verdict

EHTIRAAS has been a major disappointment having been a short-priced beaten favourite in three of his five starts and finishing last in the St James's Palace Stakes. He was a long odds-on chance when runner-up to Kharbetation here last month but had the remainder, including Frankster and Come Back King, well beaten and might have been taking on a decent performer. The latter has since done better at Pontefract and can improve again while Captain Peaky was going on at the finish over 7f at Catterick so should be suited by the extra. Bemusement made her debut over 6f on Tapeta at Wolverhampton and this is a different challenge though his pedigree suggests he should be up to the task.
