In depth

Verdict

SEA OF THUNDER and Spot Fine both ran very well in maidens at Tipperary on the same day earlier this month. The former's third place behind Farrells Fancy looks slightly better than the latter's runner-up to Captain Dancer and it will be a surprise if they aren't involved in the finish. Back In A Tic was another to have run at that meeting and looked to have a very good chance of landing her maiden but disappointed behind Flycorn and will need to bounce back. Black Empress showed moderate form in bumpers but looked as though the experience of her debut run over timber at Tramore would do her good and would be one to note if getting a run from her reserve spot.
