DARROUN fell on his chasing bow and made mistakes on his only subsequent start but was getting the hang of things when the race was all over and looks ready to gain his first success over fences. Jimmy The Hat scored over hurdles at Perth recently and his pedigree suggests he'll do better over fences, a remark that also applies to Carhue, who didn't get far on his chasing bow at Listowel, the race where Reafadda was well beaten. The latter ran much better behind Rattan at Downpatrick subsequently and could provide the main threat.
