In depth

Verdict

Chapter One cost 100,000gns and has moved to Dermot Weld after just one run last season where he caught the eye over a trip too short at Cork. Pat Smullen has chosen him over Pictogram, who started favourite for his debut at Galway in July. That was over 1m4f and he was staying on so it's a surprise to see him dropping in trip. Jim Bolger tries ELUSIVE APPROACH in a hood after her narrow defeat by Unyielding at Limerick. The third and fifth finished 1-2 at Wexford on Saturday so the form should be good enough for this. The remainder with experience will need improvement so Willie McCreery's well-connected newcomer Silver Thistle may come out best of the remainder.
