Verdict

Bill The Yank won at Ballinrobe in July but has been well beaten in a couple of subsequent starts and has never raced on fast ground before. Cardinal Rose has been a big disappointment over hurdles so far and Goat Castle has also had plenty of chances, though should strip fitter for a recent fourth at Uttoxeter. SOUTH STACK isn't exactly reliable but won here in April and also on his latest start over 2m3f at Market Rasen. Charles Greene again takes off 7lb and he's probably the one to beat if on a going day with Thorsesby returning from a break.
