    Verdict

Not a lot to go on and with soft ground forecast there is every chance we could get an unexpected result. Alan Swinbank is respected in these races and he is responsible for Vitelli. He was second in a similar contest at Doncaster although that race took place on Good To Firm going. His ability to handle this surface has to be taken on trust. Kassel has a distinct flat pedigree having been sired by Swain. Ian Williams has had plenty of winners of late and any market confidence should not be ignored. Layasar is out of winning sprinter Wizard King. He should handle the ground but will he stay? Broomers Hill was sent off favourite on his sole start but was unable to win despite a positive ride. Randolph O'Brien finished behind him on that occasion but we believe he can turn the tables today. Carl Llewellyn has rushed back from injury to ride him and this looks a positive enough vote for us to suggest him as a likely option in the finale.
