In depth

Verdict

A large field goes to post for this contest but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be. Colline de Fleurs, Sweet Oona and Sonnengold and the confident vote is given to Colline de Fleurs. The selection won well last time when beating Ceopeck and although having a penalty for that win she won with a little in hand and she is taken to defy the handicapper under conditions that suit. Sweet Oona rates the main danger on her best form but she disappointed last time out and the application of first time blinkers will need to revive her if she is to score. Sonnengold is another with place claims on her latest sixth behind Manners but she has already suggested she would be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Miss Pebbles will relish the return to this faster surface and could go well a price but Colline de Fleurs sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
