HENRY HOWARD ran well when narrowly beaten over the track and trip in August, when Whitber's Choice was a couple of lengths behind, then failed to stay three miles at Bellewstown. This is a tricky course so his experience should stand him in good stead and he can finally get off the mark. Figurative, twice runner-up at Limerick late last year, hasn't been seen since flopping when strongly fancied at Thurles in January and may need testing conditions. Dual point-to-point winner Slemish was well beaten when tackling 2m4f at Sligo in May though he was well in touch at this trip and should do better. Nulife ran reasonably well over hurdles at Listowel last month before reverting to a Clonmel bumper but Abbey Magic will probably need further. Flashing Baton showed his first sign of ability at Downpatrick and it wouldn't take much more to get involved.
