Island Villa attracted strong support at Gowran last month after a very good run at Thurles a couple of weeks earlier. He was always in the firing-line but couldn't find a finishing burst and had to settle for third. TIDY ZAG went to Cork on Sunday for a novices' handicap and, in a first time hood and tongue-tie, he romped home by 10 lengths. He has a 6lb penalty to carry but looks progressive enough to defy the extra. Noble Call has had 28 career starts without winning though only four over timber. He didn't run badly on his handicap debut at Clonmel but still looks high in the weights. Getoutwhenyoucan ran poorly at Fairyhouse last time after a better run earlier and the real fly in the ointment is Mosman Park, a dual hurdles winner and successful at Dundalk a fortnight ago though entered in the final race there last night.
