Aherlow looked a certain future winner when just touched off at Clonmel in May but he was well beaten in both subsequent starts despite finishing runner-up. It will be a surprise if he's not thereabouts again though MONATOMIC, who has looked in need of this sort of trip, may have his measure in a race that shouldn't take much winning. Itscatrionaschoice pulled up at Cork earlier this month but would have a chance on his earlier runs while Blue Morpho has done well between the flags and would be suited by a thorough test of stamina.
