In depth

Verdict

Caim Hill is perfectly capable of carrying his big weight to victory despite being 9lb higher than his last victory on the level. He's always one to consider but fast ground really suits CRYSTAL EARTH as she showed when slamming her rivals at Ballinrobe on Monday and her 5lb penalty is negated by the excellent Ronan Whelan's claim. Rattan is a decent enough hurdler at his best but probably needs much softer ground while Shark Hanlon has found it difficult placing Birzali, who has only won once in 27 starts. Takeyourcapoff would probably win this on his second to Domination at the Curragh in June but he's run poorly in two subsequent starts.
