Verdict

Stage Acclaim fell early on at Fontwell on Friday and will have to be monitored closely if he turns up here, though he did go close at Huntingdon previously. Icy Colt looks a promising novice but could need his first run since scoring over a slightly shorter trip here in May and has to compete off level weights with KARASENIR. A decent hurdler, Philip Hobbs' charge showed the benefit of his Stratford debut over fences when winning easily at Newton Abbot and further progress should be forthcoming.
