    Verdict

Mayberry looked as though she was already starting to struggle when slipping up on the Flat at Stratford last month. Emma Lavelle's mare may appreciate dropping back into novice company but is up against a potentially decent recruit to chasing here in NEARBY. Far superior to his rivals over hurdles, Philip Hobbs' seven-year-old was just a little novicey when failing to overhaul a McCoy-inspired Pullyourfingerout on his fencing bow at Worcester but will have learned plenty from that and should make no mistake here. Mad Moose is progressing nicely but surely needs further than this, while Pure Faith may struggle again under a penalty. Denton Ryal gets all the allowances as a four-year-old filly but all of her wins over timber came in selling grade and she's likely to find this company too hot.
