Verdict

Brian Ellison appears to be running out of options with his mare PHASE SHIFT but she is surely still good enough to win a race like this having been beaten less than four lengths in a handicap on the Flat at Doncaster last month over 1m6f. It's a bit of a surprise to see May's Towcester winner Vedani in a seller after a decent run over 2m4f at Fontwell next time and he, too, has had a recent run on the level. Tender Surprise was second at Market Rasen last month following a break but that was a poor contest and she's clearly been hard to train.
