In depth

Verdict

Albertas Run gets the vote in the opener with Mr Shambles and Artipreuil rated as the main dangers. The selection has not been seen out since finishing down the field in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham back in March . He is clearly well-regarded by connections otherwise he would not have been entered in that race and he showed that he has plenty of ability by winning both of his previous two outings. He goes on the ground and as he is sure to have well-schooled for this his hurdling debut he should take all the beating. Mr Shambles rates the main danger as he already has winning experience over hurdles and he scored impressively last time when beating Digital Fortress at Market Rasen. He does have his quirks but he will handle the ground and he will not be far away at the finish. Artipreuil has shown some decent form in France and he will also handle today's ground conditions so he is certainly one to consider. Harpurs Girl has got some fair form and may prove best of the rest but for the winner we will return to Albertas Run.
